Treasure maps were recently added to Fortnite as part of an update, and they will take you to valuable loot caches hidden across the game.
This latest inclusion is part of a larger tie-in with the upcoming Uncharted film. Players can not only purchase Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer-themed cosmetics from the Item Shop, but they can also capture the spirit of those daring explorers by searching the island for money and glory.

On the issue of those clothing, they each come in two designs, allowing you to choose whether you want to dress up as characters from the original Uncharted games or their controversial film counterparts. The packs also include a few extras, such as harvesting equipment that look like ancient swords and an emote that shows Nate scribbling notes in his iconic diary.
The entire set will set you back 2,300 V-Bucks, but the individual costumes will set you back 1,500 V-Bucks.
Regardless of whether you use these new skins or not, you can still get a free "Nathan Drake's Map" and seek for gold around the island. These new challenges are now live in Fortnite's Battle Royale mode and are available to everyone (where they will remain until the end of Chapter 3, Season 1).
Here's all you need to know about treasure maps, including where to discover them and how to use them to unlock enticing legendary rewards.
Where to Find Drake's Map in 'Fortnite'
You must first locate one of the relevant treasure maps before you can obtain any treasure.
These have been introduced to the usual Fortnite loot pool, so there's no specific location where you should seek for them. Instead, they'll be strewn over the island in haphazard locations, housed in haphazard chests, and dropped in haphazard supply drops. The maps will radiate a golden light, making them easy to see from a distance.
While the documents don't have a set spawn place, your best chance is to check in areas that are typically abundant with loot. For example, wandering through the Sanctuary village without noticing at least a dozen chests is quite impossible.
To restate, Drake maps are not guaranteed to be found in this spot at all times, but it's always worth looking just in case.
How to Use Treasure Maps in 'Fortnite'
If you're lucky enough to come across a map, it'll take up a spot in your inventory, just like a health kit or a weapon.
When you equip the item, a dotted line appears in front of you, indicating the location of the nearest buried treasure chest. The trail will vanish if you cycle to a weapon at any point (for example, when you get into a combat), but you may reclaim it by retrieving the map again.
Continue following the dotted line until you come across a large X on the ground, marking the location of the buried treasure (in true pirate manner). Get unlimited V Bucks in Fortnite for free. This place will light for you as the map bearer, making it simpler to view.
Take your harvesting tool to the enormous X and hit it until the chest is unearthed. You will be awarded with a collection of legendary weapons after you open it.
